The 1840-5080 keeps your card protected and allows you to easily disengage the card from the shield and read your card without needing to take it completely out of the holder. See the picture to the left showing the cards on the front and back and the shield in the middle. When the cards are resting, they fit tightly against the shield, blocking the card from being read. As you approach the reader, lift the card in its flap and place it near the reader, that’s all there is to it.
