Description
The AC-915 is a top-load rigid clear badge holder made from polycarbonate -- a stronger, clearer, and more impact-resistant material than standard ABS or PVC rigid badge holders. Fits standard CR80 ID cards at credit card thickness (30 mil). Compatible with standard 30 mil credentials including photo IDs, HID iCLASS, HID iCLASS SE, HID Seos, MIFARE Classic, MIFARE DESFire, and most modern 13.56 MHz contactless access cards. Not compatible with thicker 70-90 mil credentials such as HID ProxCard II or original HID Proximity cards.
A thumb slide notch on the top edge allows quick one-handed card removal. Slot and chain holes along the bottom edge support attachment to badge reels, lanyards, and strap clips.
The polycarbonate construction is the primary difference from standard rigid holders. Cheaper ABS or PVC holders tend to crack at the attachment point where the lanyard hook or reel strap meets the slot hole -- polycarbonate handles that repeated stress better. The top-load opening makes card removal straightforward when needed, though most users insert the card once and leave it.
