The Magicard 300 is a direct-to-card ID card printer built for schools, universities, and mid-size organizations printing up to about 10,000 cards a year. It prints a full-color card in under 23 seconds and a monochrome card in under 6 seconds at 300 dpi. This is the single-sided Magicard 300; it prints on the front of each card, and you can still print card backs by manually re-feeding cards.
Every card can carry a HoloKote security watermark, pressed into the card's clear overlay as part of the normal print process. The Magicard 300 includes four standard HoloKote designs at no extra cost and, unlike entry printers, it also supports up to four Custom HoloKote designs, such as your own company logo. Custom HoloKote is an optional paid upgrade that requires the Custom HoloKote key, available in Complete your setup. For stronger, distance-visible security, print onto HoloPatch cards, whose reflective gold seal makes the watermark stand out like a hologram.
Its Digital Shredding feature fragments card data after each job so cardholder information is not left behind, which helps meet GDPR and privacy requirements. This configuration is print-only; if you need to encode cards, choose a magnetic stripe or smart card version in the configurator above, or add an encoder later.
It connects over USB or Ethernet, works with Windows, macOS, and Linux drivers and the free Magicard HUB platform for browser-based card design, and loads drop-in Magicard dye film cassettes with no film threading. The Magicard 300 is covered by a 3-year MagiCover limited warranty on the printer and printhead. In North America the Magicard 300 part numbers carry a /2 suffix that marks the North America region version. Specialist ID is an authorized Magicard dealer.
