Overview

A credential that looks the part, front and back

Give your school, office or clinic a set of passes that look official and last the whole year. The Custom Hall Pass Badge (BB-CUSTOM-HALLPASS-H) is a 3 3/8 x 3 inch pass printed in full color on both sides, with your artwork running edge to edge and a slot along the top for a lanyard or badge clip.

Upload your design in the designer above and see the pass before you order. Use the same artwork on both sides, leave the back blank white for a name or room number, or give each side its own layout. Need a library pass, a nurse pass and a restroom pass? Add each design to your cart as its own line. A real person checks every file before it prints, and digital proofs are available on request. No setup fees.

Each pass is printed on 10 mil Teslin synthetic paper, then laminated with 10 mil clear film on both sides and cut with rounded corners. The result is a waterproof, tear-resistant pass about 30 mil thick that wipes clean and stays flat through a year of pockets and lanyards.

Popular in K-12 classrooms for student hall passes, and just as useful anywhere access needs to be visible at a glance: hospitals, offices, churches, camps and events. Pair it with any lanyard or badge clip in the store.

Order a few dozen or a few thousand. Bulk pricing applies automatically in your cart. Need a larger run or a mix of styles? Ask us for bulk pricing.

Two sides, one badge

Design both sides in one place

Flip between the front and the back in the designer. Print the same artwork on both, leave the back blank, or give it a design of its own.

Front

Your full-color artwork, edge to edge

  • ✓Full bleed. Color runs right off the edge; we print past the trim so no white sliver shows.
  • ✓Safe zone. Keep names, logos and dates inside the dotted line in the designer.
  • ✓Slots stay clear. The attachment slots are punched after printing, so plan around them.
Back

Same as the front, blank, or its own design

  • ✓Same as front keeps the badge readable whichever way it turns on the lanyard.
  • ✓Blank white leaves room to write a name or stick a label on site.
  • ✓Different artwork for schedules, maps, sponsor logos or emergency contacts.
How it's made

From your file to a finished badge

Printed, laminated and cut in-house, with a real person checking the artwork along the way.

Step 1

Artwork check

A real person looks at every file: resolution, bleed past the edge, and nothing important sitting under a slot. If it is ready, it prints. If not, we clean it up or send you a proof.

Step 2

Full-color print, both sides

Your front and back print edge to edge on 10 mil Teslin synthetic paper, a tear-resistant sheet made for credentials.

Step 3

Laminate, top and bottom

A 10 mil clear film is bonded to each side under heat and pressure, sealing the print against water, sweat and scuffs.

Step 4

Die-cut and slot-punched

Each badge is cut to size with rounded corners, then the attachment slots are punched clean through all three layers.

Step 5

Checked and shipped

Finished badges are inspected, counted and packed flat so they arrive ready for the lanyard.

The build

Built like a credential, not a paper pass

Three bonded layers make a badge that survives a weekend of lanyards, rain and pockets without creasing or fading.

  1. 1
    Clear laminate, top
    10 mil
Seals the print against water, sweat and scuffs.
  2. 2
    Printed synthetic core
10 mil Teslin, full color both sides
Tear-resistant synthetic paper that holds sharp text and rich color.
  3. 3
    Clear laminate, bottom
    10 mil
Matching film underneath keeps the badge flat and rigid.

Common questions

Before you order

Can I order without using the designer?
Yes. Choose Skip the designer, add the badges to your cart, and reply to your order confirmation with your artwork. Our art team sets the layout and sends a proof before anything prints.
What do the dotted line and the slots in the preview mean?
The dotted line is the safe zone. Keep names, logos and dates inside it; the strip outside it can be trimmed. Fill the whole badge with your background color or photo so no white shows at the edge. The slots are punched after printing, so keep anything important out of them.
What can go on the back?
Anything you like. Print the same artwork as the front, leave it blank white so you can write on it, or upload a separate design for the back: an agenda, a map, sponsor logos or emergency contacts.
What file should I send?
For the online preview, use a PNG, JPG or WEBP up to 20 MB. A file sized to the badge at 300 dpi prints sharpest. If you have a print-ready PDF or a vector file (SVG, AI, EPS), send it after checkout.
Can each badge have a different name?
Often, yes. Contact us before ordering with your quantity and a sample of your list, and we will walk you through the options for names, numbering or barcodes.
Can I write on the badge?
A permanent marker writes on the laminate, so a blank white back works well for names filled in at the door.
How durable is it?
The printed Teslin core is sealed between two layers of 10 mil laminate, so the badge is waterproof, tear resistant and stays flat. It is made to last an event or a season, not a single day.
Do I get a digital proof?
A real person reviews every order. If your artwork and layout are clear, we print the design you submitted. If something needs attention, we contact you. Digital proofs are available on request.
Are quantity discounts available?
Yes. Volume pricing applies automatically in your cart, and the pricing tiers are shown in the ordering section above. For a larger project or a mix of products, request a quote.
How soon can these be produced?
The current lead time is shown in the ordering section. For an event with a firm date, contact us before ordering with your quantity and deadline.
