The Evolis ACL007 Dry Swab Cleaning Kit contains 3 dry cleaning swabs for print head maintenance on the Avansia retransfer printer.
The Avansia uses a retransfer process where the color ribbon prints an image onto a clear retransfer film, which is then thermally fused onto the card. This process is sensitive to moisture near the print head area. Dry swabs allow the print head to be cleaned without leaving isopropyl residue that could interfere with retransfer film adhesion or cause film defects.
Evolis recommends cleaning the Avansia print head with a dry swab after each ribbon change or whenever print quality declines. For Avansia roller cleaning, use the ACL006 Adhesive Card Cleaning Kit.
