$174.95Box of 480 · $0.364 per badgePart #05741
Overview
Visitor badges that expire on their own
The Genuine TEMPbadge 05741 visitor log book is a complete sign-in system with 480 self-expiring adhesive VISITOR badges and a duplicate confidential log record (part number 05741).
How it works
The visitor signs in, the top copy peels off as an adhesive badge, and the duplicate stays in the book as a confidential record of the visit. The badge expires overnight, about 10 to 15 hours after it is issued, so yesterday's badge cannot be worn again and used badges do not need to be collected.
What you need
Complete system - nothing else needed. No equipment or software required. A non-expiring version is available as part number 05751.

How it works
The color builds until the badge reads expired
Once the badge is activated, dye migrates at a steady rate and the expiring area shades from white to pink to red. These are the actual TEMPbadge lab shade charts; the dashed box marks the recommended expiration time.
Times are approximate. The timer is chemical: warmth and humidity speed it up, cool dry air slows it down.
Good to know
Expiration times are guidelines, not exact clocks. The timer is chemical and made for indoor use: warmer or more humid air runs it faster, cooler and drier air runs it slower. A 1-Day badge can expire in as little as 10 hours.
The badges are one-day badges. A badge shows as expired overnight, about 10 to 15 hours after it is issued.
Can badges be reused?
No. Once a badge is issued the timer starts and the color change cannot be reversed, so uncollected badges cannot be reused.
What else do I need?
Nothing. The log book is a complete sign-in system: badges, duplicate confidential record, and binding. No equipment or software is required.
How does the confidential record work?
Each sign-in creates a duplicate entry that stays bound in the book, so you keep a record of every visit without exposing earlier visitors' information.
Do temperature or humidity affect the timer?
Yes. Expiration is driven by a chemical timer, so warm or humid conditions develop the color somewhat faster and cool, dry conditions slow it down. The times listed are approximate.
What do I receive when I order 1?
One log book containing 480 self-expiring adhesive VISITOR badges with duplicate records.
Are these badges in stock?
Most TEMPbadge items on our site ship shortly after the order is placed. However, many items are made to order by the factory and typically take about 8 weeks, because the chemical timer performs best when fresh. Made-to-order items are marked on the product page. Contact us for current lead times.
