The 1840-8000 is a frosted rigid polycarbonate half-card holder that holds one standard CR80 card (3 3/8" x 2 1/8") firmly while leaving the magnetic stripe fully exposed for swiping. The holder grips the bottom half of the card in a secure polycarbonate shell. The top half of the card, including the magnetic stripe, remains accessible for continuous use at card readers without removing the card from the holder.
Universities, card issuance companies, and corporate campuses order this holder for high-frequency swipe card programs where staff and students need to swipe multiple times per day at access points, time clocks, and attendance readers. The half-card profile keeps the holder compact and lightweight on a badge reel or lanyard. The frosted finish reduces glare while keeping cardholder name and photo clearly visible. Slot hole and chain hole allow attachment to badge reels, lanyards, strap clips, and neck chains.
