Description
The HID FARGO 47500 is a replacement thermal printhead for Fargo DTC series direct-to-card printers. Also known as the 047500. HID configured it for field replacement, and it fits nine DTC models including the DTC1250e, DTC4250e, and DTC4500e.
The printhead is the part that actually puts the image on the card. It wears out over time, and a worn printhead shows up as thin vertical lines or faded streaks that cleaning does not fix. Because this part is configured for field replacement, most users can install it themselves without a service call. Run a cleaning kit first to rule out dirt before replacing the printhead. If the lines persist after cleaning, the printhead is the usual cause.
