Description

The IDP 659029 is a holographic patch laminate, not a printing ribbon. It applies a hologram-bearing patch film in a standard globe design over a finished card in a separate lamination pass, adding a security layer and a tough physical wear surface on top of the printed image. The hologram patch film (HPF) for the SMART-51 and SMART-50 series runs 250 cards per roll.

Choose the hologram patch film when a card has to resist casual duplication or alteration and stand up to a harsh handling environment. IDP's clear patch film (CPF) is the alternative when you want the added surface durability without a security hologram. A patch laminate does not print the card, so it is used alongside the color ribbon your printer already runs, not instead of it. Specialist ID only carries authentic IDP printer ribbons and laminates.
