The clips customers order most. The designer has 18 clips and hooks, including badge reels and detachable buckles.
Swivel hook
The most popular clip. Fits slot-punched badges and badge holders and turns freely, so the badge faces forward.
Badge reel combo
A retractable reel on the end of the lanyard. Popular in hospitals: tap or swipe without taking the lanyard off.
Trigger snap hook
A spring gate that stays shut. Good for keys and heavier items.
Bulldog clip
Clips straight onto a badge or card without a slot. Two of them make a double-ended event lanyard.
Wide plastic hook
A lightweight black plastic hook, wide or narrow.
Split ring
For keys, USB drives and small tools.
Breakaway: a safety clasp at the back of the neck pulls apart if the lanyard catches, then snaps back together. We match the clasp to your lanyard color: white on light colors, black on dark.
Three ways to print
Choose the print method at the top of the designer. Each one shows its own price and options.
Silk screen
Ink printed on the surface of the polyester in up to 3 solid colors. Crisp text and simple logos at the best price. 3/8" to 1" wide.
Best for: Text and logos in 1 to 3 colors.
Dye sublimation
Full color dyed into the fabric, edge to edge, on both sides at no extra charge. Photos, gradients and any number of colors. 3/8" to 1" wide.
Best for: Full-color logos, patterns and photos.
Woven
Your design woven in with thread for a raised, textured look that never wears off. One side, 13 lanyard colors, 3/8" to 3/4" wide.
Best for: A premium look that lasts.

Custom lanyard questions
Is there a minimum order for custom lanyards?
Yes: 100 lanyards per design. Most customers order 100 to 500. Need fewer? Call 1-800-380-6726 and we will tell you what is possible.
How much do custom lanyards cost?
It depends on the width, print method and quantity. The price per lanyard is in the table at the top of the page and updates as you choose. There's no setup fee, and a breakaway costs nothing extra; a printed back on silk screen and a few clips cost a little more.
Which lanyard width should I choose?
5/8" is the most popular: comfortable, with room for a name or short phrase. 3/8" is slim and light. 3/4" and 1" give long text and detailed logos more room and stand out at events.
What is the difference between silk screen, dye sublimation and woven?
Silk screen prints up to 3 solid ink colors on the surface: the best value for text and simple logos. Dye sublimation dyes full color into the fabric, so photos and gradients work. Woven stitches the design in with thread for a raised, premium look.
How long do custom lanyards take?
3 to 4 weeks after you approve your proof: 2 to 3 weeks to make, then about a week to ship, free. Need them sooner? Call 1-800-380-6726 and our sales team will look at rush options.
What is a breakaway lanyard, and do I need one?
A breakaway lanyard has a safety clasp at the back of the neck that pulls apart if the lanyard catches on something, then snaps back together. Schools, hospitals and anyone working around machinery usually choose it.
Will I see a proof before you print?
Yes. A person on our team prepares a proof and emails it to you. Nothing prints until you approve it.
What file format should I send?
Vector files (AI, EPS, PDF or SVG) print sharpest. A high-resolution PNG or JPG works too, and our art team can redraw simple logos.
Can you match Pantone (PMS) colors?
Yes. Ink can be any PMS color. Silk screen and woven lanyards come in 13 standard colors, and dye sublimation prints any color. Need a lanyard color that is not on the chart? Ask for a quote.
