The Evolis R2017 is the genuine HighTrust® metallic silver monochrome ribbon for the Quantum 2 and Securion. Each roll prints 1,000 cards.
The R2017 prints reflective metallic silver elements directly onto the card surface. Metallic silver is used to add a premium finish to ID cards and credentials: silver text, borders, logos, or design accents that are visually distinctive. It is typically used in multi-pass workflows where the silver layer is printed first, then additional passes add color, black text, or security elements on top.
All Evolis ribbons carry the HighTrust® designation. Evolis states that exclusive use of HighTrust® ribbons is a warranty condition. Using non-HighTrust® material may void your printer warranty.
