How do I use the RCT018NAA scratch off ribbon?
- First print: Print the card with all information, including the sensitive data that will be covered (PINs, codes, etc.) using your standard black K panel ribbon (if printing with a full color ribbon you will need to make sure not to apply the overlay panel to the areas where you will be printing the scratch off.
- Card Design: In your card design software, designate specific areas where you want the scratch-off material to be applied. These are typically designed as small solid black rectangular sections that will print over the confidential information.
- Second print: Run the same card through the printer again, with the scratch-off ribbon this time, to apply the opaque gray coating over just the designated areas
- Scratch Off Panel Application: The ribbon applies a gray, opaque panel only to the specific areas defined in your template. The rest of the card remains unchanged.
- End User Experience: The recipient of the card can later use a coin, fingernail, or similar object to scratch away the coating and reveal the hidden information underneath.
