The IDP 643230 is a replacement ribbon tray, the reusable cassette that holds the ribbon inside the printer, for IDP SMART series printers. IDP lists it as compatible with all of its 3x and 5x models: the current SMART-31 and SMART-51 and the earlier SMART-30 and SMART-50.
Standard SMART-31 and SMART-51 ribbons load into this reusable tray; a spare lets you replace a cracked or worn cassette, or keep a second ribbon loaded and ready to swap.
