IDP 651083 Contactless Encoder, Ethernet
The IDP 651083 is the internal 13.56 MHz contactless smart card encoder for IDP SMART-31 direct-to-card printers that encode over the network. It reads and writes ISO 14443 Type A/B, MIFARE, DESFire and iCLASS cards as they print, so a networked printer can issue encoded access badges without a USB link to the workstation.
IDP lists its SMART series encoders as field upgradeable, so it can be ordered with a new printer or added to one you already have. It needs a SMART-31 with Ethernet (651536 or 651540, or the 651570 Ethernet option). For a USB-connected SMART-31, IDP's part is the 653034.
