IDP 651089 SMART-21/31 Print Head
The IDP 651089 is the replacement thermal print head for IDP SMART-21 and SMART-31 direct-to-card printers. A worn or damaged head shows up as fine lines, voids or streaks running across every card; when cleaning doesn't clear them, the head is due for replacement.
You can replace it yourself following the printer's user manual. After fitting the new head, enter its serial number, resistance value and head type (KEE or KPE, printed on the head's label) in IDP's printer configuration utility so the printer calibrates to it.
