Overview
IDP 651248 SMART-70 Flipper, All Options
The SMART-70 is built from separate modules that stand side by side in a row: input hopper (I), printer (P), hybrid flipper (F), laminator (L) and output hopper (O). IDP names each system by its modules, so an IPFLO is input hopper, printer, flipper, laminator and output hopper. The 651248 is an F: the hybrid flipper that turns cards for dual-sided printing and laminating, delivered with a contact (IC) encoder, a 13.56 MHz contactless (RF) encoder and the dual-sided image scanner installed.
It goes in the row after the printer, like the standard flipper, and connects to the printer's USB host port so encoding and scan data reach the printer. Join it with the red communication cable and set the new combination from the printer's control panel. Encoding runs through IDP's encoding plug-in or the SMART-70 SDK. To upgrade a standard flipper (651276) instead, IDP also sells the 651298 base and each option separately.
