IDP 651276 SMART-70 Flipper Module
The SMART-70 is built from separate modules that stand side by side in a row: input hopper (I), printer (P), hybrid flipper (F), laminator (L) and output hopper (O). IDP names each system by its modules, so an IPFLO is input hopper, printer, flipper, laminator and output hopper. The 651276 is the F: the hybrid flipper that turns the card over so a single-sided SMART-70 can print and laminate both sides.
It sits in the row after the printer (IPF for dual-sided printing, IPFL with a laminator). As shipped, it holds an error card bin that collects up to 30 cards that failed encoding. Remove the bin and the flipper can take IDP's contact or contactless smart card encoder and dual-sided image scanner on the 651298 base. It has a status LED, a locking cover and a Kensington slot, and draws power from its own 24 V adapter.
This is the field upgrade from single-sided to dual-sided for an existing SMART-70. IDP describes adding modules as a no-tool job a dealer or IT technician can do in minutes. Join it with the red communication cable, then set the new combination from the printer's control panel. For dual-sided color, IDP's YMCKOK ribbon (659113) prints a resin black back.
