IDP 651310 SMART-51 Laminator
The IDP 651310 is the laminator module with flipper assembly for IDP SMART-51 direct-to-card printers. Added to a SMART-51S or SMART-51D, it turns the printer into a SMART-51L that prints and laminates both sides of the card, sealing it under a clear or holographic patch for longer card life and visual security.
It is a field upgrade: IDP describes the 51S and 51D as field upgradable to the 51L. The laminator heats up in about 8 seconds and takes 1.0 mil and 0.6 mil films, clear or holographic. With single-sided lamination, a SMART-51L prints and laminates at about 22 seconds per card in YMCK. The upgraded printer draws 96 W and measures 26.6 in long.
It uses SMART-51L laminates only, such as the 659390 clear 1 mil patch (250 patches per roll). SMART-81L films do not fit.
