IDP 651356 Mag Stripe Encoder
The IDP 651356 adds magnetic stripe encoding to IDP SMART-21, SMART-31 and SMART-51 direct-to-card printers. It writes and reads ISO 7811 tracks 1, 2 and 3 on HiCo or LoCo stripes as the card prints, for access control badges, student IDs and loyalty or gift cards.
IDP lists its SMART series encoders as field upgradeable, so it can be ordered with a new printer or added to one you already have. This is the standard-position encoder; on the SMART-51, IDP also offers the 651358 for stripes on the upper side of the card. SMART IDesigner, the free software included with SMART printers, encodes the stripe through its encoding plug-in.
