IDP 654130 Mag Stripe Encoder
The IDP 654130 adds magnetic stripe encoding to IDP SMART-32 and SMART-52 direct-to-card printers. It reads and writes ISO 7811 tracks 1, 2 and 3 on HiCo or LoCo stripes, for access control badges, student IDs and loyalty or gift cards. IDP's printer spec tables also list JIS II.
On the SMART-52, IDP lists this as the standard encoder; the 654152 is the upper version. Once it is installed, the printer driver shows an Encoding tab where you set the coercivity and the number of retries, and the SMART Utility has a Mag. Head Position setting to match the encoder.
