The IDP 654131 is the internal contact smart card encoder for IDP SMART-32 and SMART-52 direct-to-card printers. It works with ISO 7816 (ID-1) contact chips, for chip-based employee IDs and government credentials.
Once it is installed, the SMART Utility has an IC encoding test that confirms the printer and encoder can communicate with a card. Contact us with the printer's serial number before ordering for a printer you already own.
