Overview
IDP 659243 YMC Ribbon, 1000 Prints
The IDP 659243 is a YMC full-color ribbon for the IDP SMART-70 rated for 1000 cards. It has only the Yellow, Magenta and Cyan panels, with no black and no overlay, so it is built for high-volume SMART-70 systems that add those another way.
IDP says this ribbon must be used with lamination or with the 659119 KO ribbon. A SMART-70 can run two printer modules in one line: the first prints color with this YMC ribbon and the second prints resin black and the protective overlay with the 659119 KO ribbon. Or let the SMART-70 laminator cover the card with a patch. Without one of these, the card has no black panel and no protection. Like every SMART-70 ribbon it comes with a fresh disposable cleaning roller, which goes in the holder on the input hopper whenever you change the ribbon.
