IDP 900505 4th and 5th-Year Warranty Extension
The IDP 900505 extends IDP's 3-year Advanced Exchange warranty on IDP SMART-31 and SMART-51 card printers (IDP's terms also cover the SMART-30) by a fourth and fifth year, for five years of coverage in total. Coverage includes the printer, laminators, encoders, parts and labor. It does not cover print heads; IDP offers no extended warranty on the thermal print head.
Extended warranties follow the same terms as IDP's standard warranty. To make a claim, call IDP technical support; a technician diagnoses the problem by phone and, if needed, issues an RMA. In the continental United States, IDP may ship a replacement ahead of your return (advance exchange) with a prepaid ground label, or repair the unit at its depot.
