IDP 900868 Alternating IC Chip Laminate, 250 Patches
The IDP 900868 is a 1 mil clear patch laminate for the SMART-81L whose patches alternate between a clear patch with an IC chip cutout and a full clear patch. It is made for laminating both sides of contact smart cards: the chip side gets the cutout patch and the other side gets full coverage. IDP rates the roll at 250 patches.
The SMART-81L laminator attaches beside a SMART-81 printer and laminates each card as it leaves the printer, using direct heating with no warm-up. It can laminate one side or both. A 1 mil patch adds a tough clear layer over the printed card, and IDP's laminated cards can last up to three times longer than unlaminated ones.
