The IDP SMART-70 standalone laminator adds a protective clear or holographic patch to cards you have already printed, on any printer. It is built from the same stations as the SMART-70 printer system, a 500-card input hopper and a laminator module, and it runs on its own with no PC or driver: load the cards, load the film, and laminate. This SMART-70L stacks finished cards in an exit box.
The laminator heats directly with no warm-up and applies 0.6 or 1.0 mil clear or holographic patch film, 500 patches per roll, at 19 seconds per card. Patches protect printed cards from wear and, with IDP's Globe Flags, Secure Globe or special-order Medical, Fire/Rescue and Police holograms, add a visual security feature. The film and card cartridges lock, and each module has a Kensington slot.
This is the single-sided standalone laminator with an exit box. It takes ISO CR80 PVC, composite PVC and PET cards from 15 to 47 mil. Because SMART-70 stations attach without tools, you can add a 500-card output hopper later. IDP backs the SMART-70 with a 3-year depot warranty.
