PRIMA462 is the 0.6 mil clear patch laminate Magicard made for the Prima 8. Each roll laminates 600 ID cards.
The 0.6 mil clear patch bonds over the entire card face after printing, adding a transparent protective layer that guards against scratches, UV fading, and everyday wear. At 0.6 mil, it adds minimal thickness while still meaningfully extending card life. For cards that take heavier daily use, see PRIMA464 (1.0 mil). For cards with an embedded smart chip, see PRIMA463. Use composite ID cards (PVC/polyester blend) — composite stock handles the Prima 8 lamination heat without warping; standard PVC cards may warp.
