Description
PRIMA463 is the 0.6 mil clear patch laminate with chip cutout that Magicard made for the Prima 8. Each roll laminates 600 smart card ID cards.
The chip cutout is a pre-cut opening in the patch film that accommodates embedded smart card chips and contactless modules. Without this cutout, a standard patch laminate would bubble, tear, or fail to adhere properly around a chip module that sits proud of the card surface. If your cards have an embedded chip, PRIMA463 is the correct patch laminate. For cards without chips, see PRIMA462. Use composite smart card stock (PVC/polyester blend) — composite cards handle the Prima 8 lamination heat without warping; standard PVC may warp.
