Description

These are US manufactured, quality inspected white PVC cards with a high coercivity (HiCo) magnetic stripe. CR80 is the same size as a standard credit card or a current style driver license: 3 3/8 in x 2 1/8 in x .030 in, so 30 mil thick. The stripe is a 3 track, 0.5 in magnetic stripe, which means the cards can be encoded and read on 1 track, 2 track or 3 track reader/writers. Every package arrives factory sealed in shrink wrap.

They work with all standard ID card printers and will perform as well as the more expensive branded cards sold by many printer manufacturers, but do not run them in inkjet or HDP printers. They ship blank and unencoded. They are not designed for most POS systems and will not work with Aloha or other proprietary encoded systems. Pack sizes of 100, 200, 500 and 1000 cards are available, so you can match the pack to how many badges, gift cards or loyalty cards you issue.

Handling matters with blank PVC. Keep the cards in the shrink wrap until they are loaded into the printer, store any loose cards in a zip-lock bag, and always handle cards by the edges so you never touch the surface that will be printed. If a card falls on the ground or gets touched on a print surface, throw it away. Keep the printer in a clean environment and clean it regularly with the cleaning kit recommended for your printer model - that is far cheaper in the long run than replacing a print head.
