Description
The 2137-300X is a 3/8" flat breakaway lanyard with three independent safety release points positioned along the back, left, and right of the neck. Each clasp releases under minimal force. Because all three points are independent, the lanyard cannot be held taut from both ends. This is the critical difference from a single-breakaway lanyard, which can still be gripped from each side and used as a ligature or weapon.
Behavioral health facilities, psychiatric hospitals, and residential treatment programs specify this lanyard for staff working in patient-contact environments. The triple breakaway design addresses the core limitation of single-breakaway lanyards: a single clasp can still be gripped from both ends and held taut. Three independent release points eliminate that risk. Corrections officers, security personnel, and anyone working in physical contact or restraint environments benefit from the same protection.
The wide no-twist plastic hook keeps slot-punched ID cards and badge holders facing forward. Fully metal-free, MRI safe, and security checkpoint friendly. Also suitable for schools, where the additional release points provide extra snag protection in active environments.
Available in Black (2137-3001), Royal Blue (2137-3002), and Red (2137-3006).
