Description
The Entrust Datacard 534000-006 is a YMCKT-KT dual-sided color ribbon kit. Yellow, magenta, cyan, the first black resin K panel and the first clear T topcoat print and protect the full-color front; the second K and T pair prints black text or barcodes on the back and topcoats it. Each roll prints 300 cards. It fits the Datacard SP55, SP55 Plus, SP75 and SP75 Plus card printers, and the Entrust SD360 and SD460. The kit also includes a cleaning roller and a cleaning card.
The 534000-006 is the current-production part number for the legacy 552854-506 ribbon kit. Current supplies require an SP-series printer whose firmware has been updated. Choose it when the back of the card needs topcoat protection as well as printing; Entrust 534000-007 is the YMCKT-K version, which prints bare black resin on the back and yields 375 cards on the SP55 Plus and SP75 Plus.
Before ordering for an SD-series printer
534000-006 is a legacy, non-regional ribbon. On the SD360 and SD460, Entrust has replaced it with the regional part 534700-005-R010, which is less expensive per roll and yields 350 cards instead of 300. Once a regional ribbon has been loaded into an SD-series printer, that printer is permanently set to regional supplies and will display Supply region not valid 224 if a legacy YMCKT, ymcKT or YMCKT-KT ribbon is loaded afterward. A printer that has already been switched shows its region code to the right of the model number on the LCD. Printers that have never had a regional ribbon loaded run 534000-006 normally.
