Description
The Entrust 534700-005-R010 is a YMCKT-KT dual-sided regional color ribbon kit. Yellow, magenta, cyan, the first black resin K panel and the first clear T topcoat print and protect the full-color front; the second K and T pair prints black text or barcodes on the back and topcoats it. Each roll prints 350 cards. It fits the Entrust SD360 and SD460 card printers.
This is the regional replacement for the legacy 534000-006 YMCKT-KT ribbon kit. As well as costing less per roll, it yields 350 cards where the legacy part yielded 300.
About regional ribbons
The first time a regional ribbon is loaded, the printer is permanently set to regional supplies. After that the legacy non-regional YMCKT, ymcKT and YMCKT-KT ribbons can no longer be used in that printer and will display Supply region not valid 224. Entrust's guidance is to use up any legacy color ribbon stock before loading the first regional ribbon. A printer that has already been switched shows its region code to the right of the model number on the LCD.
Printer firmware must be at D2.15.3xx or higher, or D3.16.3xx or higher. Printers shipped since August 2016 already include it. A regional ribbon loaded into a printer with older firmware displays Print ribbon not supported 119.
