Description
The Entrust 534100-002-R003 is a ymcKT short-panel regional color ribbon kit for the Entrust SD160 card printer. Its shortened yellow, magenta and cyan panels print color over part of the card, the full-length black resin K panel prints text and readable barcodes, and the clear T topcoat panel protects the finished surface. Each roll prints 650 cards.
Discontinued by Entrust
Entrust discontinued this ribbon in May 2026 and has not named a replacement. It remains available while distributor stock lasts, after which it is obsolete. For a full-colour SD160 ribbon that is still in production, use 534100-001-R003, the YMCKT full-panel kit at 250 cards per roll.
Short-panel ribbons suit cards where color is confined to a photo area rather than covering the full card, which is what lets them reach 650 prints against the 250 of a full-panel ribbon. The SD160 uses its own regional supply line: this ribbon carries the -R003 suffix, while the SD260, SD360 and SD460 use -R010 parts. The two are not interchangeable, so match the suffix to the printer.
About regional ribbons
The first time a regional ribbon is loaded, the printer is permanently set to regional supplies. After that the legacy non-regional YMCKT, ymcKT and YMCKT-KT ribbons can no longer be used in that printer and will display Supply region not valid 224. Entrust's guidance is to use up any legacy color ribbon stock before loading the first regional ribbon. A printer that has already been switched shows its region code to the right of the model number on the LCD.
Printer firmware must be at D2.15.3xx or higher, or D3.16.3xx or higher. Printers shipped since August 2016 already include it. A regional ribbon loaded into a printer with older firmware displays Print ribbon not supported 119.
