Description
The Evolis QTM2-KTOMN adds an OMNIKEY 5122 encoder to an Evolis Quantum 2 card printer, so one machine both prints the card and encodes its chip. The OMNIKEY 5122 handles contact smart card chips and contactless chips, so a single encoder covers both card technologies. The Quantum's encoding module is reversible and independent from the print module, so cards are encoded and printed in a single pass.
This part is the kit, not the module. The OMNIKEY 5122 encoding kit is one of the field-upgradable options installed on site, so order it when the Quantum 2 is already in service and encoding is being added later. For a printer that has not shipped yet, the factory-installed equivalent is QTM2-OPOMN. On encoder choice, the OMNIKEY 5122 is the option to choose when OMNIKEY is the encoder family you have standardized on. Other encoder families are available for the Quantum 2: the Elyctis Dual kit is QTM2-KTHLB and the SpringCard Crazy Writer HSP kit is QTM2-KTHS.
