Description
The Evolis QTM2-OPG is the Elyctis Smart contact chip encoding module for the Evolis Quantum 2. It is factory-installed and ordered with the printer, and it lets the Quantum 2 encode the contact chip on a card in the same machine that prints it. The Quantum's encoding module is reversible and independent from the print module, so cards are encoded and printed in a single pass.
This module is the contact chip encoder in the Quantum 2 range, specified for cards that are personalized through the card's contact chip. Dual encoding, covering contact and contactless chips in one encoder, is a separate option for the Quantum 2, so if you issue contactless credentials or a mix of contact and contactless cards, order the Elyctis Dual chip encoder instead: QTM2-OPHLB as a factory-installed module or QTM2-KTHLB as a field-upgradable kit. QTM2-OPG is a module rather than a kit, so it is specified when the Quantum 2 is ordered.
