Description
The Evolis QTM2-OPHS adds a SpringCard Crazy Writer HSP contactless encoder to an Evolis Quantum 2 card printer. The Quantum's encoding module is reversible and independent from the print module, which lets cards be encoded and printed in a single pass. With this module fitted, one Quantum 2 writes the contactless chip and prints the card in the same run, so the job does not have to move to a separate desktop encoder and a second handling step.
The SpringCard Crazy Writer HSP encoding module is one of the encoding modules that can be integrated into the Quantum, so this is the part to specify when the printer is being configured at the factory; the QTM2-KTHS is the same encoder supplied as a field-installable kit. The Crazy Writer HSP is a contactless encoder, so if you also need contact chip or magnetic stripe encoding, those are separate options on the Quantum 2. SAM slots are not part of this module: a 3 SAM slots extension board kit for the SpringCard Crazy Writer HSP is a separate, field-upgradable item.
