Description
The Evolis QTM2-OPOMN is the OMNIKEY 5122 encoding module for the Evolis Quantum 2, installed at the factory as part of the printer. With it, the Quantum 2 prints and encodes on the same device. The Quantum's encoding module is reversible and independent from the print module, so cards are encoded and printed in a single pass. The OMNIKEY 5122 handles contact smart card chips and contactless chips, so one encoder covers both card technologies.
Choose the module when the encoder can be specified with a new Quantum 2 and built in before the printer ships. If the printer is already installed, the same encoder is sold as the QTM2-KTOMN kit, one of the field-upgradable options installed on site. On encoder choice, the OMNIKEY 5122 is the option to choose when OMNIKEY is the encoder family you have standardized on. Other encoder families are available for the Quantum 2: the Elyctis Dual module is QTM2-OPHLB and the SpringCard Crazy Writer HSP module is QTM2-OPHS.
