The HID FARGO DTC1250e is a direct-to-card ID card printer built for small businesses, schools, and local governments that need professional, full-color credentials on a budget. It prints a full-color card in about 16 seconds (around 225 cards per hour) and automatically prints both sides of the card. This is the dual-sided model with built-in Ethernet and an internal print server, part number 050120 (also listed as 50120); it also connects by USB.
It prints at 300 dpi, combining dye-sublimation for photo-quality color with resin thermal transfer for sharp black text and barcodes. Automatic dual-sided printing puts photos and color on the front and barcodes, data, terms, or a return address on the back. Designed for ultralow maintenance, the EZ ribbon cartridge loads in seconds and its integrated cleaning roller is replaced automatically with every ribbon change.
Built-in Ethernet with an internal print server lets multiple users share the printer across your network, so it can serve a whole office, school, or department. Built-in security protects your card program: AES-256 encryption secures data in transit between your PC and the printer, while HID's resin scramble feature renders used ribbon panels unreadable. The DTC1250e is also field-upgradeable to magnetic stripe, contact, and contactless smart-card encoding.
