Description
The HID FARGO DTC1250e is a direct-to-card ID card printer built for small businesses, schools, and local governments that need professional, full-color credentials on a budget. As the fastest printer in its class, it prints up to 50% more cards in the same time as higher-end direct-to-card printers, producing a full-color card in about 16 seconds (around 225 cards per hour) and a monochrome card in 6 seconds. This is the single-sided model with built-in Ethernet, an internal print server, and a factory-installed ISO magnetic stripe encoder, part number 050030 (also listed as 50030); it also connects by USB.
It prints at 300 dpi, combining dye-sublimation for photo-quality color with resin thermal transfer for sharp black text and barcodes. Designed for ultralow maintenance, even first-time users can issue cards on day one: the EZ ribbon cartridge loads in seconds and its integrated cleaning roller is replaced automatically with every ribbon change.
Network the printer over Ethernet so multiple users can share it, and encode as you print: the built-in ISO magnetic stripe encoder writes tracks 1, 2, and 3 in the same pass, ideal for access, membership, and time-and-attendance cards. Built-in security protects your card program: AES-256 encryption secures data in transit between your PC and the printer, while HID's resin scramble feature renders used ribbon panels unreadable. The DTC1250e is also field-upgradeable to dual-sided printing.
