Description
The HID FARGO DTC1250e is a direct-to-card ID card printer built for small businesses, schools, and local governments that need professional, full-color credentials on a budget. As the fastest printer in its class, it prints up to 50% more cards in the same time as higher-end direct-to-card printers, producing a full-color card in about 16 seconds (around 225 cards per hour) and a monochrome card in 6 seconds. This is the single-sided model with a factory-installed ISO magnetic stripe encoder, part number 050010 (also listed as 50010), connected by USB.
It prints at 300 dpi, combining dye-sublimation for photo-quality color with resin thermal transfer for sharp black text and barcodes. Designed for ultralow maintenance, even first-time users can issue cards on day one: the EZ ribbon cartridge loads in seconds and its integrated cleaning roller is replaced automatically with every ribbon change.
The built-in ISO magnetic stripe encoder writes tracks 1, 2, and 3 in the same pass the card is printed, so you can produce and encode access, membership, time-and-attendance, or loyalty cards in a single step. Built-in security protects your card program: AES-256 encryption secures data in transit between your PC and the printer, while HID's resin scramble feature renders used ribbon panels unreadable. The DTC1250e grows with you, too: it is field-upgradeable to dual-sided printing and Ethernet with an internal print server.
