The HID FARGO DTC4250e is a direct-to-card ID card printer built for medium-sized businesses, schools, healthcare facilities, and local governments that need professional, secure ID issuance without complexity. This configuration, part number 052040 (also listed as 52040), is the single-sided model with a factory-installed OMNIKEY 5122 contactless encoder. The factory-installed OMNIKEY 5122 encoder reads and writes 13.56 MHz contactless credentials — iCLASS, MIFARE Classic, MIFARE Plus, and MIFARE DESFire, plus ISO 14443 A/B and ISO 15693 chips — so cards are printed and encoded in a single inline pass. USB 2.0, Ethernet, and an internal print server are all standard.
