Every one of these prints on a direct thermal printer, needs no ribbon, and expires on its own. The only thing that changes is the size, so pick the one that matches the label size your printer and visitor software already use. The peel version is the one with no fold-under tab.
How long the badge stays readable once it is activated. Half-day is about 4 to 6 hours; 1-day is overnight, about 10 to 15 hours.

The TEMPbadge T2030 QuickTab is a one-piece half-day self-expiring visitor badge, 2 5/16 x 2 13/16 inches, that prints on direct thermal printers (part number T2030).
How it works
Print the visitor's information on a direct thermal printer, fold the QuickTab tab to activate the timer, and stick the badge on. The chemical timer runs for about 4-6 hours, then a visible expiration pattern appears so the badge cannot be reused later in the day or the next day.

The color builds until the badge reads expired
Once the badge is activated, dye migrates at a steady rate and the expiring area shades from white to pink to red. These are the actual TEMPbadge lab shade charts; the dashed box marks the recommended expiration time.
Times are approximate. The timer is chemical: warmth and humidity speed it up, cool dry air slows it down.
Expiration times are guidelines, not exact clocks. The timer is chemical and made for indoor use: warmer or more humid air runs it faster, cooler and drier air runs it slower.
