This Agilia retransfer printer ships with the factory electro-mechanical lock system for securing the printer and card path.
The Evolis Agilia is the latest generation of Evolis retransfer printing: true 600 dpi print quality with over-the-edge coverage on every card. Retransfer printing puts the image on a clear film first, then thermally bonds the film to the card, so smart cards, uneven surfaces, and non-PVC materials all come out with the same flawless finish. A 3.5-inch color touch screen runs the whole printer.
Retransfer quality, production handling
The Agilia prints up to 150 single-sided or 100 dual-sided cards per hour from a 200-card input hopper with low-level detection, plus a manual feeder. Ribbons and films identify themselves automatically, and the print head carries a lifetime warranty when cleaning intervals are respected with genuine Evolis High Trust supplies. Because retransfer printing applies heat, use composite PVC/PET cards: standard all-PVC cards can warp. The recommended composite cards are listed under Compatible Supplies.
Software included
Every Agilia ships with an ID-ALL Starter Edition license for designing and printing badges on Windows and macOS, plus Evolis Premium Suite 2 drivers and the Evolis Print Service mobile app. Upgrades to higher ID-ALL editions are sold separately.
Specialist ID is an authorized Evolis dealer. The Agilia carries a 3-year printer warranty and a lifetime print head warranty with genuine Evolis High Trust ribbons and films.

What is retransfer printing and why choose the Agilia over a direct-to-card printer?
Retransfer (reverse transfer) printing puts the image on a clear film first, then thermally bonds the film to the card. The result is true 600 dpi quality with over-the-edge coverage, and it prints cleanly on smart cards, uneven surfaces, and non-PVC materials that direct-to-card printers struggle with. The film layer also adds durability on every card.
Which ribbons and film does the Agilia use?
Every Agilia configuration needs two items: an Agilia color ribbon (YMCK RT4F101A100, YMCK-K, YMCKI, YMCK-KI, or the black RTCT107NAAA) plus the RTCL100NAAA clear retransfer film (1,200 prints). Agilia ribbons have RFID authentication built in, so no electronic key is needed. Avansia ribbons do not fit the Agilia.
Which cards should I run in the Agilia?
Use composite PVC/PET cards. Retransfer printing applies heat, and standard all-PVC cards can warp. The recommended composite cards are listed under Compatible Supplies on every Agilia configuration.
Can a single-sided Agilia be upgraded to dual-sided?
Yes. The AGL1-KTDS activation kit upgrades a single-sided Agilia to dual-sided printing. Dual-sided configurations print the front and back of each card automatically.
How does lamination work on the Agilia?
The Card Lamination Module for Agilia (S10474) pairs with the printer to laminate one or both card sides with clear or holographic patches and varnishes in the same inline job, at up to 132 laminated single-sided cards per hour. Choose a Lamination configuration with the selector above, or add the module to a printer you already own.
What encoding options are available?
Factory configurations cover ISO magnetic stripe encoding (factory-installed only on the Agilia) and a range of smart card encoders: Evolis Elyctis Smart, Elyctis Dual, OMNIKEY 5122, SpringCard Crazy Writer HSP, Elatec TWN4 MULTITECH 2, and Elyctis Contactless. Smart card encoder kits can also be installed on-site; magnetic stripe cannot be added later.
What software comes with the Agilia?
Every Agilia includes a license for ID-ALL Starter Edition badge design software (Windows and macOS), Evolis Premium Suite 2 drivers, and the Evolis Print Service mobile app. Upgrades to higher ID-ALL editions are sold separately.
What warranty does the Agilia carry?
Evolis covers the Agilia with a 3-year printer warranty and a lifetime print head warranty (with cleaning intervals respected and genuine Evolis High Trust supplies). A 1-year extension (EWAG112SD) is available.
