Printer compatibility: This ribbon is made for the Evolis Avansia and Avansia CLM retransfer ID card printers only.
The Evolis RT5F012NAA is the genuine HighTrust® YMCKI color ribbon for the Avansia. Each roll prints 400 cards. A clear retransfer film (RTCL009NAA, sold separately) is required to print.
YMCKI means five panels per card: Yellow, Magenta, Cyan, resin Black, and an Inhibition panel. The Inhibition panel creates a masked zone where color panels will not print, protecting smart card chip areas, magnetic stripes, and signature panels from color contamination.
This is Evolis’s purpose-built ribbon for Avansia cards with embedded smart chips, magnetic stripes, or signature panels.
Each Avansia ribbon ships with an Evolis electronic key that must be installed before the ribbon is loaded. Without the key installed, the Avansia will not print.
All Evolis ribbons carry the HighTrust® designation. Evolis states that exclusive use of HighTrust® ribbons is a warranty condition. Using non-HighTrust® material may void your Avansia warranty.
