About this card
The HID iCLASS 2004 is the high-memory member of the iCLASS card family: a 13.56 MHz contactless smart card carrying 32k bits (4K bytes) of memory, partitioned as 16k/16 plus 16k/1. It is a standard PVC card with a smooth print surface, so one card is both a door credential and a photo ID badge. Every card is programmed to order to match your readers.
Memory is the reason to choose this card over the 2k iCLASS 2000. Access control alone needs very little space; a 32k card exists so you can run several applications on the same credential. The 16k/16 partition divides half the memory into sixteen application areas, which suits an installation that wants access control alongside cashless vending, a biometric template, logical access, or a third-party application, each in its own protected area. If you only need door access, the 2000 does the same job for less.
To order programmed cards, give us three things: your card format, your facility or site code, and the starting card number. They are printed on the box your current cards came in, or on your original HID paperwork. We encode every card in the run in sequence from your start number. Printing on a laminating or retransfer (high definition) printer? Choose the composite version, the iCLASS 2104.
