About this card

The HID iCLASS SE 3150 is the dual-technology card for a migration that ends at iCLASS SE: a 13.56 MHz iCLASS SE chip programmed with a Secure Identity Object, plus a 125 kHz HID Prox antenna, in one composite card body. One badge opens doors on both reader types while you replace readers at your own pace.

Two programming options, and the difference matters. One programmes the SE side with an SIO and leaves the 125 kHz side blank for you to encode in house with an iCLASS SE encoder. The other programmes both interfaces — SIO on the smart chip, and an HID or Indala format on the 125 kHz side. If you are migrating an existing Prox population you want both programmed, and you will need your existing Prox format, facility code and card range alongside your SE details. The configurator only asks for the 125 kHz details when the option you pick actually uses them.

Note that SE cards are not available with the legacy iCLASS access control application. If your migration has to serve older standard iCLASS readers as well as Prox, the iCLASS 2120 is the card that spans all three.

Composite by construction, so it takes lamination and retransfer, or high definition (HDP), printing without warping.

Why would I buy a dual-technology card?
Migration. If your building runs 125 kHz HID Prox readers today and you are moving to iCLASS SE or HID Signo, a dual-technology card lets you reissue every badge once and then swap readers a door at a time, instead of running two sets of credentials side by side.
Does the 125 kHz side get encoded too?
That depends which of the two programming options you choose, and it is the most important choice on this page. One programs the SE side with an SIO and leaves the 125 kHz side blank for an iCLASS SE encoder. The other programs both interfaces, with an HID or Indala format on the 125 kHz side. Migrating an existing Prox population means you want both programmed. The configurator only asks for the 125 kHz format, facility code and card range when the option you picked actually uses them.
What if my migration also has to serve older iCLASS readers?
Then this is not the right card. SE cards are not available with the legacy iCLASS access control application. The iCLASS 2120 spans all three: SIO, the standard iCLASS application, and 125 kHz Prox.
What information do I need to have ready?
For the SE side: your card format, facility or site code, and starting card number. If the 125 kHz side is being programmed, you also need your existing Prox format, facility code and card range, which are usually on the box your current Prox cards came in.
What is the minimum order and how are quantities counted?
The minimum is 100 cards in increments of 100. Custom printed artwork raises the minimum to 500. Every run is made to order and encoded to your exact specification.
