The HID FARGO DTC1250e is a direct-to-card ID card printer built for organizations that need professional, full-color credentials without a high-end price. As the fastest printer in its class, it produces a full-color card in about 16 seconds and a monochrome card in 6 seconds (roughly 225 full-color cards per hour). This is the single-sided base model, part number 050000, with a USB connection.
The DTC1250e prints at 300 dpi, using dye-sublimation for photo-quality color and resin thermal transfer for sharp black text and barcodes. It accepts standard CR-80 cards from 9 to 40 mil and holds 100 cards in the input hopper. Supplies load in seconds: the EZ ribbon cartridge has an integrated cleaning roller that is replaced automatically with every ribbon change.
The DTC1250e grows with you. It is field-upgradeable to dual-sided printing, Ethernet with an internal print server, and encoding for magnetic stripe, contact, and contactless smart cards.
