Description
The Entrust 534000-004 is a ymcKT short-panel color ribbon kit. Its shortened yellow, magenta and cyan panels print color over part of the card, the full-length black resin K panel prints text and readable barcodes, and the clear T topcoat panel protects the finished surface. Each roll prints 650 cards.
It fits the Entrust SD260, SD360 and SD460, and the Datacard SP35 Plus, SP55 Plus and SP75 Plus card printers. The 534000-004 is the current-production part number for the legacy 552854-530 short-panel ribbon kit. Current supplies require an SP-series printer whose firmware has been updated. The short-panel format is for the Plus models; on a plain SP35, SP55 or SP75, use the full-panel Entrust 534000-003 YMCKT ribbon at 500 cards per roll.
Before ordering for an SD-series printer
534000-004 is a legacy, non-regional ribbon. On the SD260, SD360 and SD460, Entrust has replaced it with the regional part 534700-002-R010, which is also less expensive per roll. Once a regional ribbon has been loaded into an SD-series printer, that printer is permanently set to regional supplies and will display Supply region not valid 224 if a legacy YMCKT, ymcKT or YMCKT-KT ribbon is loaded afterward. A printer that has already been switched shows its region code to the right of the model number on the LCD. Printers that have never had a regional ribbon loaded run 534000-004 normally.
