About this tag
The HID ProxPass II 1351 is an active, long-range vehicle tag. Paired with the HID MaxiProx 5375 reader, it lets a car or truck be read from a distance, so a driver can enter a gate or garage without stopping to present a card. The tag is powered by two replaceable batteries and mounts to a windshield with the included Velcro strips. Each tag is programmed to order.
The ProxPass II is for vehicle access, not doors. It works with the MaxiProx 5375 long-range reader at parking gates, loading yards, and secure lots. You order it like any prox credential, with your format, facility code, and starting number, but note one limit: the ProxPass II supports formats up to 37 bits, so it does not take 48-bit Corporate 1000. Each tag ships with two batteries and Velcro already included. When a battery runs down after a few years, you replace the battery rather than the whole tag.
