Overview

About this card

Specialist ID SPIDproxC ISO PVC 60/40 composite printable proximity cards are recommended for laminating printers and retransfer printers — the process HID FARGO brands as HDP, or high definition printing — where the high heat can warp or distort a standard PVC card. They are a reliable and cost-effective authentication solution for businesses and organizations of all sizes. They use RFID technology, operate at 125 kHz, and come pre-programmed with a unique sequence of identification numbers. The 26-bit format is widely supported, making the card compatible with many access control systems from different manufacturers.

Versatile and secure, our cards are compatible with HID, AWID, Farpointe and more. They can be used in a variety of applications, including access control, time and attendance, and employee identification. Great for businesses and corporations, government agencies, educational institutions, healthcare facilities, residential complexes, transportation and infrastructure, hotels, resorts, theme parks, entertainment venues, data centers, server rooms and more.

We keep a large stock of SPIDproxC ready to go and they are programmed domestically for a speedy delivery. They include a full lifetime warranty, and we are happy to provide some working samples which are available free of charge to test with your existing system before placing an order.

Questions & answers

Frequently asked questions

What do I need to provide to order programmed cards?
Three things: your card format (for example Standard 26 Bit H10301), your facility or site code, and the starting card number. All three are usually printed on the box your current cards came in, or on the paperwork from your last order. We encode the run in sequence from your start number and print that number in the lower right corner of each card.
What if I do not know my format or facility code?
Send us two or three of your existing cards and we will read them and match the encoding. Checking the box or the paperwork from your last order usually turns them up as well, since the format and facility code are normally listed there.
How are these different from genuine HID cards?
SPIDproxC is Specialist ID's own brand, made to be read by the same 125 kHz proximity readers your HID cards use. It is not manufactured by HID and does not carry an HID part number; we list the HID equivalent as a cross-reference so you can match a reorder exactly. If your specification or purchasing policy calls for HID OEM credentials, we stock those as well - the genuine HID ISOProx II Composite 1586 is listed alongside this card.
What is the minimum order, and how fast do they ship?
The minimum is 10 cards, and above that you can order any quantity you like. Every card is programmed to order in the USA, and orders typically ship in 2 to 4 business days. Encoded cards are non-returnable.
Why choose the composite card over standard PVC?
Two printing processes put real heat into a card: lamination, and retransfer printing, which HID FARGO brands as HDP or high definition printing. The 60/40 polyester and PVC core takes that heat without bowing or bubbling, which straight PVC can do. Choose composite if your printer laminates or prints by retransfer, and the standard PVC SPIDprox if you print direct to card, since that one costs less.
Which formats and readers do you support?
A wide stocked list: HID compatible formats including 26 Bit H10301, 35 Bit Corporate 1000 and 37 Bit, plus AWID, Farpointe, Kantech ioProx, Keri, Casi-Rusco, Indala and EM4100 emulations. Pick yours in the configurator above. A format outside the stocked list is still possible, but it is quoted separately and takes longer.
