Description
The HID Seos 570 is a working access credential made from FSC certified paper with a bio-based PLA overlay instead of plastic. It is completely PVC-free, it carries the same 8K byte Seos chip and Secure Identity Object as the plastic cards, and it is the cheapest Seos credential HID make. For visitor passes, events, conferences and short-term contractors it is a sensible answer to a genuine problem: nobody wants to hand out a thirty-year plastic card for a two-day visit.
Read this part before you order. HID designs this card for temporary and short-term use, and they supply it with no warranty at all — their words are that due to the nature of paper, a warranty is not available for this card. It must not be bent, immersed in water, or exposed to cleaning agents, and it should be kept out of humidity. It cannot be slot punched. This is not a card to issue to permanent staff who will carry it daily for years; for that, buy the Seos 500 composite or the Seos 565 clamshell.
Printing is also restricted. HID support HID FARGO DTC printers only, with the dye-sublimation intensity set to -20 so the ribbon does not break against the paper surface, and with a 5 mm border — no edge-to-edge printing, and large areas of solid colour are not recommended. Other printer brands are not supported. To order programmed cards, give us your card format, your facility or site code, and the starting card number.
